Jake Quickenden is currently starring in The Full Monty stage play, touring the UK celebrating 25 years of Simon Beaufoy’s iconic film!

Jake also recently toured nationally performing the starring role of Willard in ‘Footloose’ the musical as well as playing the celeb cast member of Friendsical.

Jake first auditioned for X Factor in 2012 followed by the opportunity to co-host The Chart Show TV on a regular basis, including presenting from Wireless Music Festival backstage. A second X Factor audition followed in 2014 where he won through to Judges Houses.

Following the X Factor Jake secured ‘I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here’ which was a huge success with Jake attaining top runner up spot.

A co presenting slot followed alongside ‘Lorraine’ on her ITV Morning TV Show.

This was a real opportunity for Jake at ITV not only was he ‘Jungle Jake’ talking to guests re I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, but he also then travelled the Country presenting Lorraine’s very Special ‘Kelly’s Hero Awards ‘to really deserving (unsuspecting!) people and dovetailing it all via live links into the Lorraine Studio.

Acting has continued to be a major interest for Jake and to that end, he was treading the boards in December 2017, appearing alongside Jennifer Ellison, starring in the musical, produced by Selladoor of ‘Peter Pan a Musical Adventure’, at Blackpool Opera House.

2018 started as an amazing year, with ITV ‘Dancing On Ice’ 2018, which he won with Vanessa Baur as his professional skating partner.

The most exciting opportunity for 2019 had been (with Jake very much coming into his own) winning the starring role as Berger in the seven month nationwide touring stage musical, ‘Hair’.

Jake also had the opportunity to join Hollyoaks as a guest actor with the TV show’s massive autumn storyline which he enjoyed immensely.

In 2020 Jake’s TV appearances with The Full Monty (On Ice) with ITV, where alongside skating he sang ‘Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas’ live, which brought the house down.

2021 commenced with Jake and his partner (now wife) Sophie featuring in the Super MTV series ‘Celebrity Bumps’. During lockdown Jake released new original music and scored 3 top 10 singles in the official charts.

Celebrity SAS ‘Who Dares Wins ‘TV show on channel 4 followed midyear, this would test Jake to his limit, and he relished every minute.

2022 Has seen Jake star in the amazing tour of ‘FootLoose’ produced and directed by Selladoor, taking him around the UK from February to the end of July 2022. Now Jake is starring in the touring musical ‘Friendsical’.

2023 Jake has just announced he will star in the UK touring play of the Full Monty celebrating 25 years of Simon Beaufoy’s iconic film.

Not only has Jake become a household name after his many years of television work, but he has also scored 4 official Top 10 music singles and starred in many touring musical productions, he really is a multi talented artist!
