Hailing from North London, Billy Da Kid kicked off his DJ career at the very early age of just 11, with a set comprising mostly of R&B, Hip-hop and House. As a teen, he was also immersed into the Reggae Dancehall culture and his passion for this sound would later secure him a reoccurring DJ slot on the highly acclaimed Digital Soundboy stage at Notting Hill Carnival.
It wasn’t long before Billy was invited to supply mixes for BBC Radio 1Xtra, and he joined the Kiss FM UK line up in 2012 after delivering several great mixes for ‘Carnival Kiss.’ Following a brief but successful stint on Kiss Fresh, Billy was rewarded with a move to Kiss FM UK, hosting a weekly show every Friday & Saturday night on Kiss FM UK, bringing together the biggest and freshest music with a credible underground edge. This went on to herald great rewards with his "Friday Night Kiss" show being the most listened to show in London between 7-10 pm (2018) according to RAJAR listening figures.
Another passion of Billy's is music production, and in 2015, Billy Da Kid's first release burst onto the scene in the form of an official remix for Taio Cruz, released on Tourean Records. A momentous leap into the Dance music world, but bigger things were to come. Fast forward now to 2019, Billy had racked up an incredible catalogue of remixes, many of which played by some of the highest acclaimed DJs on the planet. It was now time to release his debut single. 'Music In You' not only reached over 1 million streams, but went on to gain support from BBC Radio 1, and even featured an official remix from Dance music legend Joel Corry. Since then, Billy has gone on to release 5 more singles, a whole host of remixes for some of the biggest artists in the Dance music world, and even a compilation album, working alongside the world renowned label "Pure"
Fast forward to 2024 and with over 15+ million streams across multiple platforms under his belt, Billy is now the official mix DJ for the UK's biggest commercial radio network - Capital, as well as providing weekly mix shows for the nation's leading dance network, Capital Dance.
